Fletching – the art of creating an arrow perfectly matched with the bow it is to be shot from.
Welcome to Longbow Arrows – the website where you can have your own arrows hand fletched for you, to your own specifications or be able to book on to a course where you can learn how to do this yourself…
Want to make your own arrows, well fletching is an art form but is also a science and my book “Becoming and Excellent Fletcher” will guide you through the production process involved in making wooden arrows for your longbow covering all aspects. You can buy this on Amazon here.
In the shop, you can purchase hand fletched arrows in sets of 8 or 12 which will be fletched to you and your bow’s specifications; you will need to know your bow draw weight and your draw length and your arrows will be fletched according to those specifications. As arrows are wooden and therefore impossible to fletch to exact tolerances (as you would find with aluminium or carbon arrows) so arrow weight here will be within 30gn and draw weight +/- 2lb – of course, we will try to get it as close as possible. Where anything majorly deviates from the specifications, we will inform you. For ready made arrows, all relevant specifications will be shown in the product listing. Please also note images are for illustration purposes only and may not resemble the final product. We quality check all arrows before despatch so you should receive a perfect product. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact us in the first instance.
Check out the other pages on cresting and binding and see if this is something you would like to include as well as the various upgrades available. For example, would you like your feathers cut to an Elven design from Lord of the Rings? Would you prefer a bodkin (medieval style) point? Would you prefer self-nocks?
We aim to make all orders and despatch them within 10 days and during the checkout process, we do ask for some contact details in case we need to clarify something with you or if there is a problem with a component – these details will ONLY be used for this process.
